Transformative Breathwork
A breath journey into the depths — release stress, integrate emotions, and regulate your nervous system for good.
What is Transformative Breathwork?
Transformative breathwork uses connected breathing — a technique that activates the sympathetic nervous system in a safe setting to release stress and open the door to expanded states of consciousness. This form of breathing is supported by a specially curated playlist, movement, and vocal toning.
In the Intesoma® approach, we work in a trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive way — you decide for yourself how intense the experience gets to be. The goal is to reduce the body's stress levels long-term, complete stress cycles, process emotions and trauma, and regulate the nervous system for good.

The Double Effect
Why Daily Practice and Sessions Work Together
Each works on its own. Together, they work more deeply — because one creates the ground the other needs to unfold its full power.
Daily, 10–20 minutes
Daily Breathing Practice
It keeps your system in a stable, calmer baseline. Day by day, it regulates your nervous system and keeps you grounded — creating the ground the deeper sessions need to work at all.
The Ground
makes you more receptive
deepens the practice
Periodically, 2–2.5 hours
The Transformative Breath Session
Here, we go deliberately into the depths and release the tension and stress that have built up. In turn, these sessions deepen what you cultivate daily.
The Depth
It's this combination of continuity and depth that makes lasting change possible.

Ideally, avoid large meals in the 1–2 hours before your session
If you wear a bra, I recommend taking it off during the session
Avoid substances like caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, and other drugs
If possible, bring an eye mask, lip balm or lotion, and a meaningful object if you have one
Drink enough water throughout the day
Sometimes ideas, thoughts, and insights come up that you'll want to write down — so I recommend bringing a journal for after the session
Wear comfortable clothing you can breathe easily in (like sweatpants with a loose waistband)
Don't plan any appointments for at least an hour after the session
